Ongoing Roblox Litigation

By: Anapol Weiss

May 13, 2026

At Anapol Weiss, we are fighting for families whose children have been harmed by online platforms that failed to keep them safe. Roblox markets itself as a place for kids, yet predators have used it, often in combination with Discord, to groom, exploit, and in some cases lure children into real-world harm. Below is a running record of the cases our firm has filed on behalf of minors, the open letters our client families have sent to Roblox and Discord, and the blogs, news coverage, and litigation milestones tracking this fight as it unfolds. Together, these materials show both the scale of what's happening and the work being done to hold these companies accountable.

Lawsuits Filed Against Roblox

Texas Girl – In June 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a 19-year-old girl from Texas. The complaint alleges that the girl was targeted and groomed by an adult predator on Roblox’s platforms. The predator claimed to be a 13-year-old boy and groomed her through Roblox and Snapchat by sending her explicit content.
Florida Boy – In May 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a 15-year-old boy from Florida. The complaint alleges that the boy was targeted by an adult predator on Roblox’s platforms. The predator, who claimed to be a 16-year-old boy, groomed him and convinced him to meet in person. During this encounter, the predator stole the boy’s bike and coerced him into visiting his home. While at the predator’s home, the boy was sexually harassed and offered alcohol and drugs.

Alabama Girl – In May 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a 12-year-old girl from Alabama. The complaint alleges that the girl was targeted by two adult predators on different occasions. The first predator that approached her claimed to be a 17-year-old boy. The predator coerced the girl into meeting him in prison, where she was sexually assaulted. Later on, another adult predator who posed as a minor also targeted the girl on Roblox’s platforms. The predator groomed her via Snap and coerced her into sending sexually explicit images.

Minnesota Girl – In May 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a 21-year-old girl from Minnesota. The complaint alleges that starting at 9 years old, the girl was groomed by multiple adult predators on Roblox who concealed their identities. When she was about 10 years old, the predators escalated the situation by moving conversation to Snapchat and Discord, where they exchanged sexual content and participated in explicit phone and video calls. The predators also paid her in exchange for custom explicit content. Through Discord, the predators coerced her into joining explicit servers and sold explicit videos she produced as a minor. The abuse continued until she was 15 years old, in which the girl’s dad found explicit images on her phone. Law enforcement collected her phone and recovered approximately 56,000 images of CSAM.

Tennessee Girl – In May 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a Tennessee minor. The complaint alleges that the Tennessee minor, a 14-year old girl, was targeted by an adult predator on Roblox’s platform who claimed to be a child who lived in the same town as her. The predator escalated conversation by sending sexual messages and explicit photos, and asking her to do the same. The predator made arrangements to meet in-person outside of her friend’s house. During the encounter, the predator asked the girl to leave her friend’s house so they could hang out somewhere else. The girl’s mother eventually found out about the grooming from checking her phone and seeing the explicit messages and arrangements for the in-person meeting.

Maryland Boy – In May 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a Maryland minor. The complaint alleges that the Maryland minor, an 11-year old boy, was targeted by an adult predator on Roblox’s platform and convinced to move conversation to a different platform where he was coerced into sending sexually explicit images and videos to the predator.

West Virginia Girl – In April 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of Jane Doe, a West Virginia minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a 13-year-old girl, was groomed on Roblox’s platform by an adult predator who falsely represented himself as a 16-year-old boy, which resulted in additional grooming on multiple platforms and using Snapchat location data to physically locate the minor, resulting in her getting abducted and sexually abused.

Indiana Girl – In April 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of Jane Doe, an Indiana minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a 15-year-old girl, was groomed by an adult predator on Roblox’s platform, and despite being publicly identified by other Roblox users as a known predator to other minor girls on the platform, the predator arranged for an Uber ride off-platform to transfer the girl from her Indiana home to New Jersey, where she was sexually assaulted multiple times over the course of several days.

Maryland Girl – In April 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of Jane Doe, a Maryland minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a 16-year-old girl, was groomed by an adult predator on Roblox’s platform and convinced to move conversation to a different platform where she was coerced into exchanging sexual messages and explicit photographs. The predator escalated the situation by soliciting the girl’s address and showing up at her home.

Louisiana Boy – In April 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a Louisiana minor. The complaint alleges that the Louisiana minor, a 16-year-old-boy, was targeted by a child predator on Roblox and exchanged sexually explicit images and videos with the predator in exchange for money through Roblox and Snapchat.

Louisiana Girl – In March 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a Louisiana minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a 13-year-old girl, was groomed by multiple predators on the Roblox platform and convinced to move conversation to Snapchat. One of the predators, a 19-year-old boy, continued to groom her through Snapchat with unsolicited sexually explicit content (photographs, messages, and video calls) and coerced the minor to reciprocate.

Florida Girl – In March 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a Florida minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a 15-year-old girl, was targeted by a predator on Roblox who claimed to be a 12-year-old girl who lived in the same town as her.

North Carolina Girl – In March 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a North Carolina minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a 15-year old girl, was groomed over Roblox and Discord by a predator who claimed to be a 12-year-old boy who lived in the same town as the minor. Additionally, the minor was targeted by a 19-year-old predator who groomed her on Snapchat and coerced her into meeting in person two times, where she was raped in both instances.

Mississippi Boy – In January 2026, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of a Mississippi minor. The complaint alleges that the minor was targeted by a serial predator who disguised himself as a child who lived in the same town as the minor. The predator groomed him and attempted to arrange an in-person meeting that did not end up happening. After sending explicit messages and photos and asking the boy to do the same, the predator ended up getting blocked. The predator stalked the boy on Roblox’s platforms and escalated the situation by extracting personal information from Roblox so he could show up at the boy’s home and threaten him.

Illinois Girl – In November 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, on behalf of an Illinois minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a girl residing in Cook County, was targeted and groomed by a serial predator on Roblox’s platforms. The predator disguised himself as a boy who went to a neighboring school of Jane Doe’s. The predator sent sexually explicit photos via iMessage and asked the girl to do the same. The predator escalated the situation by coercing the girl into sharing her home address. Upon receiving the information, he attempted to visit her but was stopped by Jane Doe’s father upon arrival.

Tennessee Boy – In November 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Middle District of Tennessee, on behalf of a Tennessee minor. The complaint alleges that John Doe, a boy residing in Trousdale County, was targeted by a predator on Roblox’s platforms. The boy engaged in conversation with the predator via Roblox’s messaging chat that gradually escalated to sexual topics and exchanges. The predator continued to groom the boy and coerced him into meeting in-person. Arrangements were made to meet in a public area, where the predator exposed his genitals and forced the boy into attempting sexual contact with him.

Ohio Boy – In November 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of Ohio, on behalf of an Ohio minor. The complaint alleges that John Doe, a boy residing in Muscogee County, was targeted by multiple predators on Roblox’s platforms. The boy engaged in conversation with the predators via Roblox’s messaging chat that gradually escalated to sexually explicit messages. The situation escalated when the predators convinced the boy to meet them in person. The boy was coerced into sneaking out of his home to meet the predators in-person, where he was then sexually exploited.

Kentucky Girl – In October 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, on behalf of a Boone County minor. The complaint alleges that a 13-year-old girl died by suicide after being exposed, groomed, and influenced by violent extremist communities on the gaming platform Roblox and the messaging app Discord.

Illinois Girl – In October 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, on behalf of a Cook County minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a minor, was groomed by a predator on the gaming platform, Roblox. The predator sent sexually explicit photos and coerced the girl to leave her home and travel to a local motel, where several predators sexually assaulted her.

Florida Girl – In October 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, on behalf of a Brevard County minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a minor, was groomed by an adult predator on Roblox’s platform, coerced into sending sexually explicit images and videos of herself, while also receiving explicit videos from several predators.

San Diego Boy – In September 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of San Francisco. The complaint alleges that the Plaintiff’s son, a 15-year-old boy, committed suicide as a result of years of grooming and exploitation by a predator posing as a peer. The predator contacted the boy on Roblox, then moved the conversation to Discord, where he forced the boy to provide explicit photographs under threat.

California Girl – In August 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of San Mateo, on behalf of a California minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a 10-year-old girl, was groomed on Roblox by an adult predator posing as a peer. The conversation moved to Discord, where the predator convinced the girl to share her home address. She was abducted from her home and eventually found 400 miles away in the predator’s vehicle.

Alabama Girl – In July 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, on behalf of an Alabama minor. The complaint alleges that Jane Doe, a 14-year-old girl, was groomed on Roblox by an adult predator claiming to be a peer. The conversation moved to Discord, another platform that markets itself as kid-friendly, where the predator repeatedly sent sexually explicit messages and photographs. The girl was eventually lured from her home in Covington, Alabama, where the predator attempted to sexually assault her.

Indiana Girl – In May 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in the Superior Court of California, County of San Mateo, on behalf of Jane Doe, an Indiana minor. Florida Girl – In April 2025, Anapol Weiss and co-counsel filed a complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, on behalf of a Florida minor who was sexually exploited on the platforms Roblox and Discord. As our attorneys established in the complaint, the underage girl for whom attorneys are seeking financial compensation was first groomed by predators she met online on Roblox and subsequently coerced into sharing explicit content through Discord.

Texas Girl – In April 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit in federal court in the Southern District of Texas, on behalf of Jane Doe, a Texas minor. The complaint alleges that predators exploited and groomed her, coerced her into sending explicit images, and ultimately assaulted her in person, an attack that was recorded by the perpetrator.

New Jersey Boy – In February 2025, Anapol Weiss filed a lawsuit seeking to hold Roblox and the communications platform Discord directly accountable for child sexual exploitation that occurs on these platforms. In the case Doe v. Roblox Corp., Discord Inc., a 13-year-old boy was contacted by a serial predator—who had already been charged with sexually exploiting another child—and coerced into sharing sexually explicit content, giving the man his address, and agreeing to meet in person (which fortunately did not ultimately happen). This legal action follows a 2023 class action lawsuit filed by Walsh on behalf of parents who bought Roblox’s in-game currency “Robux” for their children based on misrepresentations about platform safety.

Our Roblox litigation lawyers—including Walsh and Feden, and trial attorney Pat Huyett—are actively investigating additional cases of sexual exploitation of victims, primarily children, on these platforms.
