This month, Anapol Weiss donated enough money to buy out the entire wishlist of the staff at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, as well as donate boxes of toys to the children spending their holidays away from home. Our firm is so honored to have had this opportunity to give back to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and make a difference in the lives of our community.

The firm’s holiday initiative began in the spirit of gratitude immediately following Thanksgiving, with collection efforts running through December 15th. Throughout those weeks, the Anapol Weiss office was transformed into a hub of holiday cheer as staff and partners gathered donations to ensure no child at St. Christopher's would go without a gift. On December 15th, the firm officially delivered the collection to the hospital for distribution, just in time to brighten the spirits of patients and their families.

The donation was carefully curated to meet the specific needs of the hospital's diverse patient population. In addition to general gifts, Anapol Weiss focused on the staff’s Special Needs wishlist, providing essential and comfort-focused items designed to make the hospital environment feel more like home. These contributions included:

  • Supportive Furniture & Comfort: Kids’ tables and chairs, beanbags, and vibrant play area rugs.
  • Sensory & Developmental Support: Specialized sensory toys tailored for children with unique needs.
  • Daily Essentials: Vital supplies for the hospital's youngest patients, including diapers, wipes, and bottles.

The general toy drive was equally impactful, resulting in at least four massive bins overflowing with gifts for children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. The variety was vast, ensuring something for every interest, including classic board games, soft stuffed animals, and creative craft kits, alongside popular favorites like Barbies, Star Wars sets, LEGO, and headphones for older children. By providing such a wide range of items, the firm hoped to bring a sense of normalcy and joy to every floor of the hospital.

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children: Making a Difference

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children has been a pillar of the greater Philadelphia community since opening its doors in 1875. With 180 beds available, the hospital has grown from a small charitable clinic into a world-renowned leader in pediatric medicine.
